Instagram CEO says he's "exploring NFTs to make them more accessible to a broader audience." According to Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri, the social media app is looking into non-fungible token (NFT) technology. During an Ask-me-anything (AMA) session on Instagram, Mosseri said the company wants to make NFTs "more accessible to a broader audience." Instagram CEO: “We're definitely exploring NFTs” After parent company Facebook turned itself into a meta, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri discussed NFT technology on Saturday. The Instagram post was part of a series of AMA questions directed to the company's CEO.
When someone asked him about his thoughts on an NFT collaboration with Instagram, Mosseri explained that the company is considering the idea. “There is nothing to announce yet, but we are certainly actively exploring NFT technologies and how they can reach a broader audience,” Mosseri explained. “I think it's an interesting topic where we can engage, and also a way that we hope it helps creators,” the Instagram CEO added.
Alleged Instagram NFT Features and Creator Week Mosseri did not elaborate further on his Instagram story and the CEO did not provide any details about the company that will support the NFT. Toward the end of May, Instagram hosted its first annual “Creators Week,” which showcased non-fungible tokens and NFT content creators. In July, software developer Alessandro Paluzzi shared screenshots of Instagram's alleged plans to incorporate NFTs.

Instagram and Facebook are not the only social media platforms exploring blockchain as Twitter launched a BTC tipping feature at the end of September and said it is exploring NFT authentication.
Besides exploring NFTs and trying to expand its reach to a “broader audience,” much like the original Facebook, Instagram is very conservative about these features. Three days ago, Polygon and Reddit venture capital firm Seven Seven Six announced the creation of a $200 million fund to boost social media tied to Web3 and blockchain technology. Source
