Matt Cutts: Do not repeat the meta tag description on your site

In his latest video on the webmasters channel on YouTube, Matt Cutts, the spam search official at Google, confirmed that it is very bad and harmful to repeat the meta tag description on the site and that this will return to the site negative results that may be punished by Google. Matt Cutts confirms by answering this question, saying: There are two ways to use the page description: either putting a distinct description on a page or not putting the description at all.
