Anthropic Integrates Claude Conversations and the Cowork Feature into a Unified Interface

In a move aimed at simplifying the user experience, Anthropic has announced the integration of its various interfaces for its smart assistant "Claude" into a single unified interface. Instead of navigating between multiple tabs and struggling to choose the right tool for each task, users can now access all features from a single window, reflecting a growing trend toward reducing complexity in artificial intelligence platforms.

A Single Interface Bringing Together All Tools

The new interface allows users to access three main features within a single window: traditional text-based conversation, the Cowork feature designed for collaborative work, in addition to Artifacts, which is the interactive workspace the company provides. The Claude Design feature — launched in April to design websites and prototypes — has also become available anywhere within the app without restrictions.

Anthropic had noticed that its customers often faced difficulty determining the appropriate tab for the required task. To solve this problem, the new interface was designed so that "Claude" automatically routes requests to the appropriate tool, without the need to manually switch between windows or tabs. The goal of this is to remove the ambiguity associated with choosing a feature, relying instead on a single front-end interface that distributes work across the various parts of the app.

New Tools for Presentations and Documents

The update was not limited to unifying the interface; the company also added a set of features dedicated to creating presentations and documents. Users can now enlist the smart assistant for the following tasks:

• Creating, editing, and displaying slides interactively.
• Downloading created presentations in PDF or PowerPoint format.
• Working side by side with "Claude" to create document sections, ask questions, and comment on completed parts.
• Sharing documents or slides via a link, with the ability to edit them from a mobile phone.

Among the most notable features of the update is the ability to integrate across devices; a user can ask "Claude" to begin creating a document on a desktop device, then follow the task's progress through the phone app, providing great flexibility in managing work across different platforms.

The Launch Timeline

Anthropic will begin rolling out these features to subscribers of the Pro and Max plans first, via the web and desktop and mobile applications, over the coming weeks. The company announced its intention to later expand the scope of these features to include users on the free plan and team plans.

This update comes on the heels of developing the memory layer in the Cowork feature, which helps "Claude" remember the user's context across multiple conversations, enhancing the assistant's ability to provide responses that are more coherent and better suited to the overall context of the user's work.
