Write internal company communications, updates, newsletters and FAQs
About this skill
Helps an agent write internal communications in defined formats, including 3P updates (Progress, Plans, Problems), company newsletters, FAQs, status reports, leadership and project updates, and incident reports. It identifies the communication type, loads the appropriate guidance from examples/, and follows its formatting, tone and information-gathering instructions. Slack, Google Drive, email and calendar can be used when available.
How do you use this skill?
1. Request an internal communication and specify its type. Example: “Write last week's 3P update for the mobile apps team. We shipped the new payment feature, plan to fix login bugs, and lack testers.”
2. The agent selects the guide: examples/3p-updates.md for updates, examples/company-newsletter.md for newsletters, examples/faq-answers.md for FAQs, or examples/general-comms.md for other types.
3. It confirms the scope, such as team and reporting period. For general communications it asks about audience, purpose and tone.
4. It gathers information through available tools such as Slack, Google Drive, email and calendar. Without those tools, it asks you to provide the content directly.
5. It drafts the required format: a few concise, quantified lines for 3P; sections totaling roughly 20–25 points for a newsletter; and a short answer to each FAQ.
6. Review the draft and verify the facts before publishing internally.
Requirements and limitations
No software packages are required. Slack, Google Drive, email and calendar access is optional and requires accounts and permissions provided by the agent environment. Without access, the agent relies entirely on user-supplied information. The templates reflect a particular company's style and may need adaptation. There are no dedicated templates for incident reports or leadership updates; these use general guidance. Answers based on unconfirmed sources must be flagged and reviewed manually.
