The model synthesizes these inputs together to produce a cohesive video that reflects the user's creative vision. Gemini Omni also enables professional-grade technical edits, such as replacing scene backgrounds, correcting lighting in smartphone-recorded footage, and adding a variety of visual effects.

Among the most practically valuable improvements this update brings is support for iterative, interactive editing. Rather than regenerating the entire video with each change, users can now apply successive edits in stages without disturbing previously completed work — a workflow that delivers meaningful savings in both time and effort during production.

With these updates, Google is positioning itself in direct competition with established platforms in this space, including HeyGen, Synthesia, Captions, and D-ID.
