Google begins censoring torrent sites, starting with “thepiratebay”

Google took a quiet step, without prior announcement, by adding the site the piratebay to its blacklist. However, this was not a complete step by Google, as it still allowed the site to appear in the search results, noting only its disappearance from the auto-complete option, as we can see in the following image: The search site Google stops pirate, while Bing, on the contrary.

It is also mentioned that this service has been stopped on all domains for the website thepiratebay.org, thepiratebay.com, and thepiratebay.se, including searches related to this site. This was not a new step for Google. In January of 2011, Google began censoring all sites publishing copyrighted materials, including “BitTorrent” “uTorrent” “Megaupload” “Rapidshare” “Mediafire” sites. Google had blocked all suggestions for these sites. It is worth noting that Bing, the first competitor to Google Search, still displays these sites without blocking them from autocomplete results. The question remains when these sites will be permanently deleted from Google search and whether that will be the case. Good or not for the user?
